Julia Bourgeois
Studio Accountant
Julia has worked with over 20 Nonprofits in the Accounting field over the past 10 years. She “loves helping passionate people keep every dollar on mission!” She believes Nonprofits are essential in making the world a better place and finds fulfillment being able to help them stay mission focused using sound accounting practices. Being a nonprofit accountant allows her to feel like she is part of something much bigger than herself and that is really important to her.
Julia holds two degrees, a BS in Accounting, and a BS in Finance from McNeese State University, yes she is driven. She is also driven to participate in her community of Lake Charles, LA and the people that reside there. She is the Founder and President of Families for Inclusion, a nonprofit whose mission is to enhance inclusivity and accessibility for individuals with special needs. She has also volunteered with many local programs including Ronald McDonald house and has been a CASA volunteer.
She is a wife and a mom to two young boys (one has Spina Bifida). She loves spending time with her family and friends, volunteering in her community and doing photography. Don’t let “doing photography” fool you, she is also a working photographer who shoots weddings, families, and solo portraits!
