Amy Nicholson
Studio Accountant
Amy is a CPA who brings over 20 years of experience working in the accounting and finance field. She has a wide array of experience from performing month-end closing procedures to preparing financial statements to her most recent role for the past 10 years as an auditor for nonprofits. She also has experience preparing/reviewing 990s and is a member of AICPA and MNCPA.
Amy’s degree is in social work, she has always had a calling and passion for helping others. She realized along the way that she also really enjoys numbers and solving problems, so she went back to study accounting, and passed the CPA exam in 2002. Since then, she has found fulfillment is helping others, in particular nonprofits, through the practice of accounting.
When not working, Amy enjoys camping in the wonderful states of Wisconsin and Minnesota, reading, watching movies, and most of all spending time with her husband Scott, daughter Alex and their lab/hound mix Coal. Coal has a secret talent…he sings along to one particular song, you’ll have to ask Amy which one.
